Disabled shower Cubicle or bathroom adaptation?
If you are not aware of the number of different shower cubicles that are
available, you may not know that they can be used as a short term shower
solution as opposed to a full bathroom adaptation.
A Semi-permanent, reusable shower cubicle or bathroom adaptation?
A durable,
reusable or semi-permanent modular shower cubicle can be installed and re-used
time and time again to provide an en-suite facility practically anywhere in the
home with little or no refurbishment required. With some cubicles including a
toilet and wash hand basin along with showering facilities, the cubicle allows
you to create a bathroom area without the need for expensive property
alterations or adaptation of the bathroom.
Easy installation
Installation
is possible within 2 hours where water, waste and power are provided. A
disabled shower cubicle is assembled using our unique modular system and push
rivets to make it as straightforward as possible for the installer. A toilet
cubicle is easy to install but also simple to remove which makes moving a
cubicle, for example to a different property, quicker than it would be to create
an adapted bathroom.
Watertight modular system
The unique
modular system assists with modular shower cubicle assembly and helps to
prevent the likelihood of leaks. The addition of half height shower doors aid
assisted showering but also helps to keep water within the cubicle. Half height
shower doors also feature watertight click hinges to help retain over sprayed
water inside a shower cubicle.
Designed for re-use
The indestructible
polypropylene glazing exceeds all impact classifications and with its modular assembly
features allow for a shower cubicle to be re-used time and time again with little
or no refurbishment. The smooth polypropylene glazing makes the cubicle easy to
clean, meaning if some refurbishment is required only minor, consumable &
easy to interchange parts of a toilet cubicle may need replacing. By re-using a
disabled shower cubicle, you will also be reducing the amount of waste you send
to landfill & meeting criteria within ISO 14001.
A choice of
shower trays
Use a shower
tray that suits your requirements with level access, 30mm high or up to 110mm
high shower trays all compatible with a disabled shower cubicle:
Level access –Tern

Low Level –

A self-contained en-suite facility
A disabled
shower cubicle is made to the standard height of 1850mm but can be made to a specific
size if required. Our shower cubicles are available in 7 different
configurations and in over 20 sizes, for example 1300x700 or 1400x800mm.
Gravity or
pumped drainage is not an obstacle. When normal waste discharge to a soil pipe
is not close by to your shower cubicle, using a macerator allows a shower cubicle
to be fitted almost anywhere in the home. Other ancillary items you may
consider to enhance your modular shower cubicle are:
- A roof to help retain steam.
- Shower tray ramp to assist
with wheelchair access.
- Extractor fan & light to
disperse steam.
- 55mm high step for Prinia
shower trays to assist entry.
